We are FLI @ Stanford

The FLI Office was established as a stand-alone office in 2018. Previously, we were housed under the Diversity and First-Gen office, which was established in 2011.

Our Mission Statement

The FLI Office operates on the pillars of advocacy, mentorship, community & belonging and connections to resources to provide holistic support for first generation, low-income, transfers, current/former foster youth and FLI graduate students at Stanford. This includes providing critical resources, networks, and services that set them up for success. FLI is proud to be a part of Student Affairs, which advances student development and learning; fosters community engagement; promotes diversity, inclusion and respect; and empowers students to thrive.
