Program Coordinator - She/Her/Hers

Emily Rodriguez

Guardian Scholars Coordinator & General FLI Programming

Project: Program Coordinator, FLIP Co-President, FLI Conference Co-Chair

Hometown: Madison, North Carolina

I am fourth-year student, majoring in Comparative Studies in Race & Ethnicity and minoring in Public Policy. My first summer, I was a part of the Leland Scholars Program & was also able to take on the RA role my junior year. This program supports FLI students in their transition from high school to their first year at Stanford through mentorship, community building, vulnerable & open discussions regarding family, experiences on campus, and more. I was also former co-president of FLIP (First-gen, Low-Income Partnership), which is the student run organization for FLI students on campus. I started working at the FLISSC during the spring quarter of my first year as the Guardian Scholars Student Coordinator, but I also handle other general things at the office, like working the FLIbrary, updating the website, and planning general FLI programming for the community.  I am excited to connect with more of the FLI community and lend my support where it is needed!
