FLI Student Orientation (FLI-SO)

The FLI pre-orientation program focuses on providing first-generation and/or low-income students a head start on college adjustment. This three day program focuses on the unique challenges FLI students face such as: understanding Financial Aid, Student Financial Services, Financial Literacy, Academic Advising, Campus Resources, Faculty and Staff Engagement, Community Building with the FLI community and Beyond, and the LSP Scholars Seminar during the academic year.

Through programming founded on the principles of research, experience-learning, and community building, each FLI-SO cohort of students will begin their academic journey with a stronger sense of belonging at Stanford. By introducing the students to key faculty, staff, and resources prior to the beginning of classes, they will feel empowered to attend office hours, programming, and advising during their time here.
